Bouchée Wine Merchants
is located on Mission Street, two doors south of Ocean Avenue in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
To celebrate its fifth anniversary in May 2007, proprietors David and Kathleen Fink completely remodeled the interior of Bouchée bistro as well as Bouchée Wine Merchants, it’s adjacent fine wine and wine accessories shop.
The newly redesigned restaurant offers a modern bistro menu reflecting the bounty of the local land and sea. With the new design, Bouchée Wine Merchants now offers a greater number of fine wines from California, the United States, Europe and the world, as well as specialty wine gift items.
Jesse Kloskey is the chef de cuisine of the restaurant. The menu offers select classic bistro dishes done in a modern way and with the regional influences of the Monterey coast. It’s a style of food that was originally rooted in the farm villages and small towns of France but is now equally part of cuisine in cosmopolitan settings.
Diners at the Bistro have a special advantage with the Bouchée wine shop. Because of it, the restaurant can offer a much greater selection of bottles on its wine list and there is a tremendous flexibility in creating wine flights for the chef’s menu items.
Bouchée Bistro and Wine Bar features wines by the glass and a full wine list. The wine bar opens at 4:30 pm daily and at 4:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. nightly. Reservations are recommended at the restaurant, telephone 831-626-7880.
